Many can not return because of Post <br />Tramatic Stress Disorder, please listen to the residents. <br />There being no further comments, the Mayor closed the Public Hearing at 7:06 <br />p.m. <br />A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Prewitt, seconded by Council Member <br />Derrick, to approve Resolution 2019-69R. <br />Mr. Cosentino, City Attorney, provided that the money given by the Woods <br />Apartment limits the use of the money for an actual construction project that <br />will increase capacity of River Road to handle flood water or will prevent water <br />from ever reaching River Road. The timeline to spend this money is four years <br />which ends October 2020. <br />Staff will increase outreach and make sure all criteria is explained and give <br />everyone options to ensure this money is accessible to residents that need this <br />money. <br />The motion to approve Resolution 2019-69R carried by the following vote: <br />For: 7 - Mayor Pro Tem Prewitt, Council Member Gonzales, Council Member Derrick, Mayor <br />Hughson, Council Member Mihalkanin, Council Member Marquez and Council <br />Member Rockeymoore <br />Against: 0 <br />13. Receive a Staff presentation and hold a Public Hearing to receive comments for or <br />against the 2019 CDBG Annual Action Plan, and provide direction to the City Manager. <br />Aaron Harris Presented the Community Development Block Grant <br />Applications for program year 2019. These include the following programs and <br />the corresponding request: <br />• CASA - $50,000 <br />• Habitat for Humanity - Housing Counseling - $23,656 <br />• Southside Community Center Housing Rehab - $200,000 <br />• Rebuilding Together Austin Housing Rehab - $250,000 <br />• City Parks & Rec - Paul Pena Park - $125,000 <br />• City Neighborhood Enhancement - Unsafe Structures - $ 40,000 <br />City of San Marcos Page 8 <br />
