Proposed 2019-2022 Meet and Confer Agreement <br />Between the San Marcos Police Officers' Association and the City of San Marcos, Texas <br />ARTICLE 4 <br />NEW HIRE PROBATIONARY PERIOD <br />The probationary period for newly hired Police Officers shall commence from date of hire and continue <br />through the 365th day following the date of the officer's successful completion of the Police Training <br />Program. During this probationary period, employees are not members of the classified service. To the <br />extent that this provision is in conflict with the Texas Local Government Code, Chapter 143, including <br />Section 143.027, this provision shall prevail. <br />Page 5 <br />
