(~ 9) No on-premise freestanding sign shall be located within the San Marcos River <br />Corridor, except for monument signs, community information signs, and government <br />signs. <br />Section 6.3.3.4 Off-premise Signs <br />(a) Signs in the City and ETJ. Off-premise signs within the City and within the <br />extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City are subject to all provisions of this Section <br />6.3.3.4. Any requirement, standard or prohibition not specifically outlined in this <br />section is regulated by applicable provisions of V.T.C.A, Transportation Code <br />Chapter 391 and regulations issued under that chapter. <br />(b) Sign Faces. For each sign location, a maximum of two sign faces, front and back, <br />are permitted. Multiple sign faces, whether stacked or side-by-side, at the same <br />location and facing the same direction are prohibited. Existing signs with more <br />than two faces may continue as nonconforming signs, subject to the provisions of <br />Section 6.3.1.9. <br />(c) Restructuring Permitted. Existing off-premise signs having wooden pole supports <br />in locations where new off-premise signs are allowed may be restructured to a <br />metal monopole support. <br />(d) New and Restructured Sign Compliance. New and restructured signs shall <br />comply with the following: <br />(1) 1~laximum area. 480 square feet or, for restructured signs, the area of <br />the existing sign, whichever is less. <br />(2) 1~laximum height. 25 feet for signs with an area of less than 75 square feet, <br />and 421/2 feet for signs with an area of 75 square feet to 480 square feet. <br />(3) Setback. A minimum setback of 10 feet is required from all property lines for <br />all off-premise signs. <br />(4) Location and spacing restrictions. New or restructured off-premise signs are <br />permitted only along the following highways and they shall comply with the <br />following minimum spacing requirements with respect to other off-premise signs <br />on the same side of the street or highway, and with all applicable provisions of <br />V.T.C.A, Transportation Code Chapter 391 and regulations issued under that <br />chapter with respect to sign placement regulations not otherwise established in <br />this chapter: <br />a. In the highway corridor, new and restructured off premise signs <br />are permitted throughout the City and its extraterritorial jurisdiction, with <br />a minimum spacing of 1,500 feet. <br />b. Along the following roadways, new and restructured off premise <br />signs are permitted in the City and its extraterritorial jurisdiction, subject <br />12 <br />
