Mr. Moseley moved <br />to table this matter to later in the meeting to give the Council time to <br />look at a map of the CBA and Mr. Doiron seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a <br />Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING A 12.632 <br />ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE 1700 BLOCK OF AQUARENA SPRINGS <br />DRIVE, FROM ~C" (COMMERCIAL DISTRICT) AND ~MF-5" (MULTI-FAMILY <br />RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT [HIGH DENSITY]) TO ~MF-4" (MULTI-FAMILY <br />RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT [HIGH DENSITY]); INCLUDING PROCEDURAL <br />PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br /> <br />Mayor Chiu opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. <br />Joe Renner, representing the developer, was present to answer questions. <br />No one else wished to speak, so Mayor Chiu closed the public hearing. Mr. <br />Doiron moved for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Moseley seconded <br />the motion. Mr. Moseley asked Mr. Patterson about the bond issue for <br />River Road Improvements in that area, and Mr. Patterson advised the <br />railroad crossing on River Road had been put this project on hold. Mr. <br />Patterson also advised platting can be pursued after the zoning is <br />approved. Mr. Gilley stated there are outstanding alignments on Davis the <br />City is working on with TXDOT. Mr. <br />McCrocklin stated 6 acres is being rezoned from ~M" to MF-2" and the <br />balance from ~C" to ~MF-3". He stated an escrow agreement has been <br />executed to address the concerns not covered in the plat process. Saul <br />Gonzalez, the Millview Neighborhood representative, stated the <br />neighborhood wants to stop any further MF-2, 3, 4 and 5 in their <br />neighborhood. Claudia Marlow, a block representative, also stated they do <br />
