73 Regular Meeting December 13, 1982 Page 2 Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of an appoint- ment to fill a vacancy on the Ethics Commission. Mayor Craddock moved to nominate Bill Pryatel and Mr. Farr seconded the motion. Mrs. Mendez moved to nominate Fred Guerra. On roll call the fol- lowing vote was recorded: Pryatel: Brown, Farr, Craddock, Moore, Norris. Guerra: Mendez. Mr. Pryatel will fill the vacancy of David McCall on the Ethics Commission. Mayor Craddock opened a public hearing on a zoning request rezoning Lot 12 in the Coers Second Addition from "R-i" to "D", and asked if anyone wanted to speak in favor of the zoning request. Shirley Wickersham stated she was requesting the zoning change and that the matter had been tabled by the Council several months earlier because the street needed paving before approving a zoning request that would increase traffic in the area and because of needed drainage work. Director of Public Work~ George Boeker, said this work had been completed by the Public Works Department. City Planner Joe Garza indicated the Planning Department did have some traffic concerns on Ridgewood adjacent to this property. No one else wished to speak in favor or against the zoning request, so Mayor Craddock closed the public hearing. Mr. Farr then moved the Ordinance be removed from the table and Mrs. Norris seconded the motion, which passed unanimous- ly. The Ordinance was then considered for approval on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE %~ICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED SEPTEMBER 29, 1980 (VOL. 54) BY ZONING LOT NO. TWELVE (12) IN COERS SECOND ADDITION, A/K/A 153 COERS STREET, FROM "R-i" (SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT) TO "D" (MUL- TI-FAMILY D~LLING DISTRICT). Mr. Farr moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Mrs. Norris seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on second reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE PRICE AND CONDITIONS OF THE SALE BY THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, OF 0.12 ACRES OF LAND, MORE OR LESS, OUT OF THE J. M. VERA- MENDI LEAGUE NO. 1 IN SAID CITY TO DON RAINS; AUTHOR- IZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A WARRANTY DEED TO DON RAINS; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Brown moved for approval of the Ordinance on second reading and Mrs. Norris seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
