City Council Meeting Minutes August 3, 2021 <br />agreement with Clean Earth of Alabama, Inc. for the provision of services relating to the <br />Household Hazardous Waste Program to authorize a revised estimated annual amount of <br />$140,000.00 for the remaining three years of the contract; authorizing the City Manager or <br />his designee to execute the appropriate documents to implement the Change in Service; <br />and declaring an effective date. <br />A motion was made by Council Member Baker, seconded by Mayor Hughson, <br />to approve 2021-131R. The motion carried by the following vote: <br />For: 7 - Mayor Pro Tem Derrick, Mayor Hughson, Council Member Baker, Council Member <br />Gonzales, Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Scott, Council Member Garza and Council <br />Member Gleason <br />Against: 0 <br />20. Consider approval of a pay increase in the amount of $4,576.00 to Municipal Court Judge, <br />Dallari Landry, effective May 1, 2021. <br />A motion was made by Council Member Gleason, seconded by Mayor Pro <br />Tem Derrick, to approve the pay increase. <br />Council Member Baker inquired why the appointees should receive a raise and <br />would like to see the goals and responses to be included in the council agenda <br />packet. <br />Council held discussion regarding items 20, 21, 22, 23 and consensus was to <br />hold a future workshop to discuss the appointee goal setting process. <br />The motion to approve carried by the following vote: <br />For: 7 - Mayor Pro Tem Derrick, Mayor Hughson, Council Member Baker, Council Member <br />Gonzales, Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Scott, Council Member Garza and Council <br />Member Gleason <br />Against: 0 <br />21. Consider approval of a pay increase in the amount of $1,869.30 to City Attorney, Michael <br />Cosentino effective May 1, 2021. <br />A motion was made by Council Member Gleason, seconded by Deputy Mayor <br />Pro Tem Scott, to approve the pay increase. The motion to approve carried by <br />the following vote: <br />For: 7 - Mayor Pro Tem Derrick, Mayor Hughson, Council Member Baker, Council Member <br />Gonzales, Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Scott, Council Member Garza and Council <br />Member Gleason <br />Against: 0 <br />22.
