City Council Meeting Minutes August 17, 2021 <br />25. Consider the nomination of City Manager, Mayor and two Council Members to serve on the <br />Greater San Marcos Partnership Board of Directors, and provide direction to Staff. <br />Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Scott nominated himself and Council Member <br />Gonzales to continue service on the Greater San Marcos Partnership Board of <br />Directors. <br />Mayor Hughson nominated Bert Lumbreras to fill the City Manager position <br />and herself to fill the Mayor position. <br />Council Member Baker nominated himself to serve. <br />Council Member Garza nominated herself to serve. <br />Following a roll call vote City Manager Bert Lumbreras and Mayor Hughson <br />were unanimously appointed to serve on the Greater San Marcos Partnership <br />Board of Directors. <br />Following a roll call vote Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Scott and Council Member <br />Gonzales received a majority of votes and were appointed to serve on the <br />Greater San Marcos Partnership Board of Directors. <br />For: 7 - Mayor Pro Tem Derrick, Mayor Hughson, Council Member Baker, Council Member <br />Gonzales, Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Scott, Council Member Garza and Council <br />Member Gleason <br />Against: 0 <br />26. Consider the appointment, to fill a vacancy, of a city representative to the Core Four Task <br />Force, and provide direction to Staff. <br />A motion was made by Mayor Hughson, seconded by Council Member Baker, <br />to appoint Cassie Pittman to the Core Four Task Force. The motion carried by <br />the following vote: <br />For: 7 - Mayor Pro Tem Derrick, Mayor Hughson, Council Member Baker, Council Member <br />Gonzales, Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Scott, Council Member Garza and Council <br />Member Gleason <br />Against: 0 <br />27.
