City Council Meeting Minutes November 16, 2021 <br />pictures. She stated she was denied to take photographs of the animals because <br />the interim shelter manager was not in the office. She stated the animal shelter <br />desperately needs an excellent marketing staff. <br />Jordan Buckley, spoke regarding the resolution approved in 2017 regarding <br />the compact to combat hate, extremism and bigotry. He would like council to <br />table the Welcoming City resolution until the federal lawsuit that alleges the <br />city violated the Ku Klux Klan act in the Biden Bus incident is concluded. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Scott, seconded by Council Member <br />Gleason, to approve items 1-8 and 11-13, items 9, 10 were pulled and <br />considered separately after the public hearing items. Consider approval of Ordinance 2021-89, on the second of two readings, designating the City <br />as a Media Production Development Zone; providing a savings clause; providing for the repeal <br />of any conflicting provisions; and providing an effective date. <br />3. Consider approval of Resolution 2020-220R, approving a contract with CLS Equipment <br />Co., Inc., through The Interlocal Purchasing System, for the purchase of a Bike Lane <br />Street Sweeper for use by the Public Works Department in the amount of $226,844.55; <br />authorizing the City Manager or his designee to execute the contract on behalf of the City; <br />and declaring an effective date. <br />4. Consider approval of Resolution 2021-221 R, approving a Change in Service to the <br />Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract for firefighter uniforms from Galls LLC, <br />through the BuyBoard Purchasing Cooperative in the amount of $55,000 for a total <br />contract amount of $95,000; authorizing the City Manager or his designee to execute the <br />documents necessary to implement the change in service; and declaring an effective <br />date. <br />Consider approval of Resolution 2021-222R, approving a Change in Service to the <br />City of San Marcos Page 2 <br />
