City Council Meeting Minutes November 16, 2021 <br />requested? Ms. Hernandez stated she reached out to finance to come up with a <br />plan but we don't know community type uses in the area. We don't have actual <br />numbers because we do not have a comparison. Council Member Baker asked <br />the applicant how has La Cima residents been receptive with what is being <br />requested. Mr. Willis stated it is a new use and hasn't had the discussion with <br />La Cima residents but has discussed during Homeowners Association meetings <br />on what can occur in community commercial. He stated they have focused with <br />the location of this use was to create distance and space. <br />Council Member Baker asked if residents that live within 400 foot buffer <br />received a letter? Ms. Hernandez stated for development agreements it is only <br />posted in the newspaper. Mayor Hughson asked what is the closest home to the <br />project? Mr. Willis stated the closest home is over 1200 feet which is about a <br />quarter mile away. He stated the plat has been submitted but zoning hasn't <br />been requested. Once platting begins to occur then the zoning process will <br />begin and residents will be notified. <br />The motion carried by the following vote: <br />For: 6 - Mayor Hughson, Council Member Baker, Mayor Pro Tem Scott, Deputy Mayor Pro <br />Tem Garza, Council Member Gleason and Council Member Prather <br />Against: 0 <br />Absent: 2- Derrick and Council Member Gonzales <br />9. Consider approval of Resolution 2021-226R, authorizing the sale of five surplus police vehicles to <br />the City of Sweeny and City of Oak Ridge in the amount of $26,000; finding that such conveyances <br />serve the public purpose of fiscal responsibility for each of the entities; authorizing the City <br />Manager to execute all documents necessary to transfer title and convey the police vehicles; and <br />declaring an effective date. <br />A motion was made by Mayor Hughson, seconded by Council Member <br />Gleason, to approve Resolution 2021-226R. <br />A motion was made by Mayor Hughson, seconded by Council Member <br />Gleason, to amend the caption by striking "five" and replacing it with "two" <br />and inserting "in the amount of $14,000 and three surplus police vehicles to <br />the", striking the word "and" and "$26,000" and replacing it with "$12,000". <br />It will read as follows: A Resolution of the City Council of the City of San <br />Marcos, Texas authorizing the sale of two surplus police vehicles to the CIty of <br />Sweeny in the amount of $14,000 and three surplus police vehicles to the City <br />of Oak Ridge in the amount of $12,000; finding that such conveyances serve <br />the public purpose of fiscal responsibility for each of the entities; authorizing <br />the City Manager to execute all documents necessary to transfer title and <br />City of San Marcos Page 8 <br />
