Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the adoption of an Or- dinance on third and final reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, DECLARING THE NECESSITY OF ACQUIRING 7420 SQUARE FEET, MORE OR LESS, OUT OF TRACT TEN (10), OF THE A. W. WITHERS SUBURBAN TRACTS, A SUBDIVISION IN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, FOR A PUBLIC PURPOSE; DESCRIBING THE PROJECT FOR WHICH SAID PROPERTY IS TO BE ACQUIRED; DESCRIBING SAID PROPERTY; AUTHORIZING SAID CONDEMNATION; AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO INSTITUTE CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Farr moved for the adoption of the Ordinance and Mr. Kreczmer seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the adoption of a Resolu- tion, the caption which was read as follows: RESOLUTION DIRECTING PUBLICATION OF NOTICE OF INTEN- TION TO ISSUE CERTIFICATES OF OBLIGATION. Mrs. Norris moved for the adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Moore seconded the motion. Mr. Brown moved Exhibit "A" be completed by inserting "7:30 p.m., November 8, 1982", and Mr. Farr seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Bill Harrison of First Southwest Company stated the certificates of obligation not to exceed $350,000.00 could be used as interim money for the EPA Step 2 project until a reven- ue bond election could be held. He said the approximate interest rates on the COs would regularly be 10.75-11.00%, but on a call on any day basis would run approximately 12.00%, Staff was asked to check into the possibility of a 6-month term rather than the on-call daily basis and provide this information to the Council in the near future. The Council then unanimously adopted the Resolution. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the adoption of a Resolu- tion, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE BID OF GENE BAGK~LL, DBA GENE BAGWELL ~INTENANCE MANAGEMENT FOR THE PRO- VISION OF MAINTENANCE SERVICES AT THE SAN MARCOS CEMETERY FOR THE PERIOD FROM OCTOBER 1, 1982 TO SEPTEMBER 30, 1983; APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDI- TIONS OF A CONTRACT FOR THE PROVISION OF SAID SER- VICES; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF SAID CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. OHNHEISER~ IN THE AMOUNT OF FIFTY FOUR THOUSAND DOL- LARS ($54,000), FOR A FIVE YEAR LEASE OF LAND LOCATED AT THE SAN ~RCOS MUNICIPAL AIRPORT; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT TO LEASE AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
