Regular Meeting October 11, 1982 Page 5 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, REPEALING THAT RESOLUTION OF SEPTEMBER 27, 1982, WHICH APPROVED TE~4S AND CONDITIONS OF A FIRE PROTECTION AGREEMENT BETWEEN SAID CITY AND HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, APPROVING. THE TE~S AND CONDITIONS OF A FIRE PROTECTION TO PERSONS AND PROPERTY LOCATED IN HAYS COUNTY AND OUTSIDE THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF SAID CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mrs. Norris moved for the adoption of the Resolution and Mrs. Mendez seconded the motion. Mr. Brown moved Paragraph II of the Agreement be amended to add to the last sentence, " . or enter into an agree- ment with the City at that time which guarantees the County's equit- able sharing of both Capital and operational expenses of the City Fire Department," and Mr. Farr seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Farr, Kreczmer, Craddock, Mendez, Moore. NAY: Norris. ABSTAIN: None. Mr. Brown then moved Paragraph IX of the Agreement be amended in the second sentence to add to that sentence, ". as a minimum," and to delete the last sentence of Paragraph IX in its entirety, and Mr. Farr seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was record- ed: AYE: Brown, Farr, Kreczmer, Mendez, Moore. NAY: Craddock, Norris. ABSTAIN: None. Then on roll call for the adoption of the Resolution, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Farr, Kreczmer, Mendez, Moore. NAY: Craddock, Norris. ABSTAIN: None. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval to allocate $125.00 from contingency funds for the printing of information to be mailed with the utility bills regarding animal control. Mr. Farr moved for the allo- cation and Mrs. Mendez seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration direction to be given Staff regarding the water and sanitary sewage system needed rate increases. Mayor Craddock moved the rate increase Ordinance be brought to the Council thirty days after the defeat of the Ordinance, which was October 4, 1982. Mrs. Norris seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Farr, Craddock, Moore, Norris. NAY: Kreczmer, Mendez. ABSTAIN: None.
