Regular Meeting <br /> <br />October 11, 1982 <br /> <br />Page 5 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, REPEALING THAT RESOLUTION OF SEPTEMBER <br />27, 1982, WHICH APPROVED TE~4S AND CONDITIONS OF A <br />FIRE PROTECTION AGREEMENT BETWEEN SAID CITY AND HAYS <br />COUNTY, TEXAS, APPROVING. THE TE~S AND CONDITIONS OF <br />A FIRE PROTECTION TO PERSONS AND PROPERTY LOCATED IN <br />HAYS COUNTY AND OUTSIDE THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF SAID <br />CITY TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF SAID <br />CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mrs. Norris moved for the adoption of the Resolution and Mrs. Mendez <br />seconded the motion. Mr. Brown moved Paragraph II of the Agreement <br />be amended to add to the last sentence, " . or enter into an agree- <br />ment with the City at that time which guarantees the County's equit- <br />able sharing of both Capital and operational expenses of the City <br />Fire Department," and Mr. Farr seconded the motion. On roll call <br />the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Brown, Farr, Kreczmer, Craddock, Mendez, Moore. <br /> <br />NAY: Norris. <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br /> <br />Mr. Brown then moved Paragraph IX of the Agreement be amended in the <br />second sentence to add to that sentence, ". as a minimum," and <br />to delete the last sentence of Paragraph IX in its entirety, and Mr. <br />Farr seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was record- <br />ed: <br /> <br />AYE: Brown, Farr, Kreczmer, Mendez, Moore. <br /> <br />NAY: Craddock, Norris. <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br /> <br />Then on roll call for the adoption of the Resolution, the following <br />vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Brown, Farr, Kreczmer, Mendez, Moore. <br /> <br />NAY: Craddock, Norris. <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval to allocate $125.00 <br />from contingency funds for the printing of information to be mailed with <br />the utility bills regarding animal control. Mr. Farr moved for the allo- <br />cation and Mrs. Mendez seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration direction to be given Staff <br />regarding the water and sanitary sewage system needed rate increases. <br />Mayor Craddock moved the rate increase Ordinance be brought to the <br />Council thirty days after the defeat of the Ordinance, which was <br />October 4, 1982. Mrs. Norris seconded the motion. On roll call the <br />following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Brown, Farr, Craddock, Moore, Norris. <br /> <br />NAY: Kreczmer, Mendez. <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br /> <br /> <br />
