Attachment SC <br /> Task I: Ongoing Modeling Support <br /> The City may request modeling services under this contract on an as needed basis. When modeling <br /> services are required,the City will submit a request to FNI detailing services to be provided. FNI shall <br /> submit a list of proposed tasks and an estimation of resources and expenses necessary to provide <br /> requested services to the City for authorization prior to proceeding. Compensation to FNI shall be made <br /> by the City based upon the actual effort and expenses required to complete each task. FNI shall notify <br /> the City if the performance of a task will exceed the cost plus multiplier not to exceed fee, and will not <br /> proceed with performance of the task without written authorization from the City. <br /> Modeling support services may include, but are not limited to: <br /> 1. Development Review: Development review tasks shall include calculating average day and peak <br /> wet weather wastewater loads for new developments. FNI will perform a hydraulic analysis to <br /> determine the parameters below by adding proposed wastewater lines and nodes to the existing <br /> model; assigning roughness coefficients, wastewater loads and elevations; running the model <br /> under peak wet weather. <br /> • Impact of the development on downstream infrastructure <br /> • Off-site improvements to serve the proposed development <br /> • Potential over-sizing of off-site improvements <br /> • On-site pipe sizing <br /> • Maximum capacity of recommended pipes <br /> 2. Operational Assessments of Wastewater System Modifications: Tasks related to operational <br /> assessments related to the wastewater system modifications and investigations shall include: <br /> researching operational options;conducting field investigations when necessary and as approved <br /> by the City; modeling various operational scenarios and writing a memorandum detailing results <br /> of model runs, and proposed recommendations; and submitting reports as described in this <br /> section. <br /> Unless hard copies are requested by the City, FNI shall submit draft and final modeling results to the City <br /> electronically, in Adobe portable document file (pdf) format, unless an alternate electronic format is <br /> requested by the City. If hard copies are requested,two(2) copies of each shall be submitted. <br /> Task J: Additional Master Plan Support Services <br /> Services will be defined by the City as deemed necessary for the completion of the Wastewater Master <br /> Plan update. Additional tasks may include supplemental flow monitoring,field investigation,or other. <br /> Page 8 of 8 <br />
