MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Terry and a second by Councilmember <br />Bose, the City Council voted five (5) for and one (1) opposed, with Councilmember Jones voting <br />against and Councilmember Thomaides absent from the dais, to approve Ordinance on the first <br />of two readings. The motion carried. <br />23. Consider an ordinance amending the traffic register maintained under Section 82.067 <br />of the San Marcos City Code to change the time limit on two parking spaces located on the <br />east side of the 300 block of North LBJ Street from one hour to fifteen minutes; including <br />procedural provisions; and consider ordinance on first of two readings. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Couch and a second by Councilmember <br />Terry, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) against, to approve the ordinance on the <br />first of two readings. The motion carried unanimously. <br />24. Reconsideration of Ordinance 2009-70, amending the future land use map from "C" <br />Commercial to "HDR" High Density Residential for an 8.188 acre, more or less, tract of <br />land located at 1311 North I-35; amending the official zoning map of the city by rezoning <br />this tract from "GC" General Commercial district to "MF-24" Multiple-Family <br />Residential district; and including procedural provisions. <br />The City Council chose not to reconsider Ordinance 2009-70. <br />25. Discussion on possible amendments to Article 18, Section 2, Funding Provision of the <br />Meet and Confer Agreements with the San Marcos Police Officers' Association and the <br />San Marcos Professional Fire Fighters' Association Local 3963, and provide direction to <br />staff. <br />Collette Jamison, Assistant City Manager, provided an update on the amendments that the <br />Council had previously requested. <br />26. Remove from table and possibly consider adoption of Resolution 2009-157R, <br />approving and ratifying an employment agreement through the meet and confer process <br />with the San Marcos Police Officers' Association, directing the City Manager to execute <br />the agreement; and declaring an effective date. <br />MOTION: Upon removal from the table and a motion made by Councilmember Couch and a <br />second by Councilmember Jones, the City Council voted five (5) for and two (2) opposed, with <br />Councilmembers Bose Thomaides voting against, to adopt Resolution 2009-157R, as previously <br />captioned. The motion carried. <br />27.
