<br />114 <br />Regular Meeting April 9, 1990 Page 2 <br />Mr. Hernandez stated this corporation will bring jobs to San <br />Marcos' labor force for skilled and semi-skilled positions. Mr. <br />Plummer stated it would be good to have some new people move into <br />our community in addition to creating jobs for people already a <br />part of our community. Parkview will be bringing 12 to 14 <br />employees with them when they relocate in San Marcos. No one <br />else wished to speak, so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing. <br />Mr. Hernandez moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Moore <br />seconded the motion. Mr. Guerra pointed out in Section VI.A.4. <br />of the Agreement on Page 10 the City agrees to "expedite" the <br />process for hearings, inspections, etc., and Mr. Gilley stated <br />that this does not mean the City will cut any corners. The <br />Council voted unanimously for adoption of the Resolution. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as <br />follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY <br /> ZONING LOTS 8 AND 9, OUT OF THE A. M. RAMSAY SUBDIVISION OF <br /> 32 1/2 ACRES OUT OF THE J. M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO. 2, HAYS <br /> COUNTY, TEXAS, AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 89, PAGE 477 OF THE <br /> HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, LOCATED AT 400 AND 402 MILL <br /> STREET, FROM "M" (SINGLE-FAMILY, DUPLEX AND NEIGHBORHOOD <br /> BUSINESS DISTRICT) TO "MR" (MOBILE HOME AND RESIDENTIAL <br /> DISTRICT) AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished <br />to speak.
