114 Regular Meeting April 9, 1990 Page 2 Mr. Hernandez stated this corporation will bring jobs to San Marcos' labor force for skilled and semi-skilled positions. Mr. Plummer stated it would be good to have some new people move into our community in addition to creating jobs for people already a part of our community. Parkview will be bringing 12 to 14 employees with them when they relocate in San Marcos. No one else wished to speak, so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing. Mr. Hernandez moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Moore seconded the motion. Mr. Guerra pointed out in Section VI.A.4. of the Agreement on Page 10 the City agrees to "expedite" the process for hearings, inspections, etc., and Mr. Gilley stated that this does not mean the City will cut any corners. The Council voted unanimously for adoption of the Resolution. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING LOTS 8 AND 9, OUT OF THE A. M. RAMSAY SUBDIVISION OF 32 1/2 ACRES OUT OF THE J. M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO. 2, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 89, PAGE 477 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, LOCATED AT 400 AND 402 MILL STREET, FROM "M" (SINGLE-FAMILY, DUPLEX AND NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DISTRICT) TO "MR" (MOBILE HOME AND RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT) AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. No one did, so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing. FORSITH SURVEYS, SAID 16.08 ACRES BEING DESCRIBED IN VOLUME 320, PAGES 499-505, HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, LOCATED AT 2104 RANCH ROAD 12, FROM "PD" (PRE-DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT) TO "c" (COMMERCIAL DISTRICT); AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
