The Planning and Zoning Commission has considered and recommended <br />approval of the revisions to the Land Development Code <br />3. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of the following <br />ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />SECTION 1. The Land Development Code is amended as set forth below. Added text <br />is indicated by underlining. Deleted text is indicated by strikethroughs. <br />SECTION 2. Section 1.1.2.2, Specific Rules of Priority, subsection (e) is amended to <br />read as follows: <br />(e) Administrative Priority. The following priorities are established among <br />administrative applications for the same land: <br />(1) An application for a Site Preparation Permit shall be decided prior to any <br />mien decision on fef a construction permit. • <br />(2) An application for approval of a Final Subdivision Plat or Final <br />Development Plat shall be decided prior to approval of an application for a <br />construction permit. <br />(3) An application for a building permit shall be decided prior to approval of <br />an application for a certificate of occupancy. <br />SECTION 3. Section 1.2.2.1, Responsible Official, subsection (a) is amended to read as <br />follows: <br />(a) Responsible Official. The responsible official shall be the Director or <br />Manager of a designated City department or department division, or his or her designee <br />who is assigned responsibility under this Land Development Code for taking the <br />following actions with regard to a particular type of development application or relief <br />petition authorized under this Chapter l : <br />(1) Accepting the application or petition for filing and processing the <br />application; <br />(2) Reviewing and making recommendations concerning the application or <br />petition; 0
