<br /> 46 <br />Regular Meeting May 29, 1990 Page 3 <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP OF THE MASTER PLAN <br />OF THE CITY, FROM LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL AND FLOATING <br />NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL TO COMMERCIAL FOR BLOCK 1, LOTS 1, 2 <br />AND PART OF LOT 3 OUT OF THE CARROLL/HOFHEINZ ADDITION TO <br />THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, LOCATED AT 1320, <br />1326 AND 1402 W. HOPKINS AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished <br />to speak for or against the amendment. No one did, so Mayor <br />Morris closed the public hearing. Mr. Hernandez moved for <br />adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Moore seconded the motion. On <br />roll call the following vote was recorded: <br />AYE: Moore, Hernandez, Morris, Kissler. <br />NAY: None. <br />ABSTAIN: Hart, Guerra (Both abstained because of conflict of <br /> interest - debt exceeding $2,000 with owner of <br /> property, State Bank and Trust Company). <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP OF THE MASTER PLAN <br />OF THE CITY FROM PERMANENT OPEN SPACE/FLOODPLAIN TO <br />INDUSTRIAL FOR APPROXIMATELY 11 ACRES PROPOSED TO BE KNOWN <br />AS A PORTION OF LOT 1, SECTION 3, SAN MARCOS BUSINESS PARK, <br />SAN MARCOS, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, LOCATED AT THE NORTH CORNER <br />OF THE INTERSECTION OF WONDER WORLD DRIVE AND THE MKT <br />RAILROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished <br />to speak for or against the amendment. No one did, so Mayor <br />Morris closed the public hearing. Mr. Hart moved for adoption of <br />the Resolution and Mr. Hernandez seconded the motion, which <br />passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP OF THE MASTER PLAN <br />OF THE CITY, FROM LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO COMMERCIAL FOR <br />BLOCK 2, LOT 8, OF THE LINDSEY AND HARVEY ADDITION TO THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, LOCATED AT 503 <br />HOPKINS STREET AND 504 HARVEY STREET AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished <br />to speak for or against the amendment. Dr. Howard Tidwell <br />advised the Council his property was zoned Commercial in 1982 and <br />when the Master Plan was adopted, the land use was designated Low <br />Density Residential. He stated the other three corners at this <br />intersection are zoned Commercial and he requests the Council's <br />approval. No one else wished to speak, so Mayor Morris closed <br />the public hearing. Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of the <br />Resolution and Mr. Hart seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an <br />Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as <br />follows: <br />
