76 Regular Meeting August 27, 1990 Page 4 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, SETTING THE TAX RATE FOR THE 1990 TAX YEAR; LEVYING TAXES FOR THE USE AND SUPPORT OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF THE CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 1990, AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1991, PROVIDING A SINKING FUND FOR THE RETIREMENT OF THE BONDED DEBT OF THE CITY, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Mr. Plummer moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and Mr. Hart seconded the motion. Mr. Hart moved to amend the Ordinance in section 1 to add 59.72 cents, in Section 2.A. to add .4582 cents and in section 2.B. to add .1390 cents, and Mr. Plummer seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Council voted unanimously for adoption of the Ordinance. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance on emergency, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE CITY BUDGET ORDINANCE FOR THE 1989-1990 FISCAL YEAR (ORDINANCE 1989-38) TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR ACTUAL AND PROJECTED EXPENDITURES FOR THE CITY MANAGER, POLICE, PLANNING, FINANCE, LEGAL AND PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENTS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Ms. Kissler moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and Mr. Hernandez seconded the motion, which passed unanimously (Mr. Hart not present to vote on this item). Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 2-126 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES TO REQUIRE THE COMMISSION FOR WOMEN TO MEET AT LEAST NINE TIMES PER YEAR RATHER THAN MONTHLY; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; REPEALING ALL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Ms. Kissler moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion, which passed unanimously (Mr. Hart not present to vote on this item). Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 29-111 AND 29-150 OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES BY ADDING A NO PARKING TOW-AWAY ZONE ON WOOD STREET, PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; REPEALING ALL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; PROVIDING A PENALTY; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Moore moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Mr. Hernandez seconded the motion, which passed unanimously (Mr. Hart not present to vote on this item). Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 29-110 OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES BY THE ADDITION OF STOP SIGNS; AMENDING SECTION 29-109 OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES BY THE DELETION OF YIELD SIGNS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; REPEALING ALL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; PROVIDING A PENALTY AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
