Docusign Envelope ID: DA4FA5BF-D9AF-4543-AD49-B8F98E2726F6 <br /> Appendix A—Basis of Design <br /> expected to provide 12.47 KVA service to the project site and all electrical components,wiring,and <br /> systems will be designed to align with this electrical service. <br /> The DB will consider and propose electrical components,wiring,and systems that are consistent with <br /> NEMA and IEEE standards as directed by the City to promote safety,energy efficiency,and provide the <br /> best value.The DB will not consider IEC standards. <br /> The City has a preference of electrical related components as shown in Table 3-2 below. <br /> Table 3-2 Electrical Preferences <br /> Component City's Preference <br /> ATS ASCO <br /> Electrical Generators Kohler or Cat <br /> Fuel Diesel <br /> Gear Preference GE,Powell,Siemens <br /> 3.9.2 Other Utilities <br /> The DB will consider the needs for other utilities at the plant site such as natural gas, <br /> telecommunications,and any additional services as necessary for operation of the Facility. <br /> 3.10 Instrumentation & SCADA Systems <br /> The DB will consider and propose a range of SCADA from minimal systems to provide basic plant <br /> operations and monitoring capabilities to a full suite of SCADA components that provide enhanced <br /> functionality and ease of operations.The City currently utilizes Ignition software and the DB will <br /> consider compatibility with existing SCADA systems in the proposed design alternatives. <br /> 3.11 Administration, Operations & Support Buildings <br /> The DB will consider and propose design alternatives for all necessary administration,operations,and <br /> support buildings including those identified by the City.All buildings and structures should be in <br /> compliance with City standards and codes when possible unless otherwise directed by the City to <br /> maximize value. <br /> The DB will consider and propose a process lab to be included in the administration or operations <br /> building(s).Equipment canopies or other structures may be considered in lieu of buildings depending <br /> on the applicable equipment. <br /> The DB will be responsible for procuring any temporary buildings and/or trailers that will be <br /> necessary during construction phase activities. <br /> 3.12 Odor Control <br /> The DB will consider and propose design alternatives to control odor for all major components of the <br /> Facility. <br /> 4-5 <br /> ARDURRA <br />
