Copies of existing horizontal and vertical control data will be provided by
the City. This control will be used as the basis for survey services. The
Engineer or its subconsultants will tie to and verify existing survey control
and expand as needed throughout this Project. Vertical checks will only be
determined by trig procedures. If the project control provided does not
meet acceptable professional tolerance, the Engineer will notify the City
immediately.
ii) Design Survey
Obtain cross-sections at 50' intervals and at interim locations and grade
breaks within the Project limits as needed to complete the design. Include
in these sections spot elevations at centerline of pavement and sidewalks
up to the ROW line. Also include, locations and elevations for visible
improvements including fences, guardrails, signs, visible utilities and
utility markers, mailboxes, driveways (to ROW limits), side streets,
culverts, and drainage structures noting line types and sizes where
possible. Obtain rim and flow line elevations for "wet" utilities.
1.3 TASK lA -DRAINAGE STUDY (PROJECT AREA 1 ONLY-UHLAND/COUNTY
ROAD)
For Project Area One only, the Engineer will:
1.3.1 Meet with representatives of the City to acquire any records of drainage complaints for
the area. Review additional data to assist in the field reconnaissance and evaluation of the
drainage problem. This data will include design plans from previous engineering projects,
meetings with land owners, review of the City's drainage network and 2 foot contour data. The
Engineer will conduct site visits as needed to collect field data that describes the nature of the
drainage and flooding problems and possible contributing factors as follows:
a) Analyze existing hydrologic study from the apartments adjacent to the
project site;
b) Develop a drainage area map;
c) Perform hydraulic analysis of Uhland and County Roads;
d) Perform hydraulic/hydrologic analysis of proposed detention basin;
e) Perform hydraulic/hydrologic analysis of open channels and underground
structures as needed to remedy flooding problems;
f) Identify what permits, if any, will be required for the Project.
1.4 TASK 2 - PRELIMINARY DESIGN
The Engineer will:
~,-'4th€:a. las:. . r~~
4
