1.6.9 Plan and coordinate soil borings and other tests required for design of the Project. Furnish locations and elevations of the borings. 1.6.10 Furnish a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan ("SWPPP") and Best Management Practices Plan for control of erosion during and after construction. 1.6.11 Prepare a request for any design exceptions, including all information necessary to support the request, and submit them to the City for review and approval. 1.6.12 Identify all temporary and permanent easements and/or ROW that may be required. 1.6.13 Identify and notify all affected utilities and coordinate plans for utility relocation. Engineer will maintain a record of all utility contacts and submit them to the City. Engineer will submit one (1) copy of the Intermediate Design Phase plans to each affected utility for review and comment. 1.6.14 Furnish City with three (3) paper copies and one (1) Adobe Acrobat PDF Copy of the Intermediate Design plans and supporting documents, including any and all of those mentioned immediately above. Upon review and approval of the plan and supporting documents, the City will furnish to Engineer, in writing, approval of the plan and cost estimate and authority to proceed with the Final Design Task of the Project. 1.7 TASK 5 -FINAL DESIGN The Engineer will: 1.7.1 Furnish, when necessary, completed applications and data required by the City for the applications or supporting documents for State or Federal Government permits, grants, or planning advances, provided that such data will not extend beyond that actually developed in the performance of other provisions of this Agreement. 1.7.2 Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, instructions to bidders, general provisions, proposal and other documents necessary for the City to advertise for bids, all based on guidelines furnished to the Engineer by the City after authorization has been received from the City to proceed with the final plans as follows: a) Include street and drainage cross sections for every 50-foot station (plus any intermediate stations if field conditions so dictate) at a scale of 1" = 40' - 0" horizontally and 1" = 10' - 0" vertically unless otherwise directed by the City. Combine the application of sound engineering principles with a high degree of economy in these designs. Use design standards of other agencies, when approved by the City, as directed by the City. b) Develop detailed specifications and any necessary special specifications with assistance and cooperation from the City. 7
