1.6.9 Plan and coordinate soil borings and other tests required for design of the Project. <br />Furnish locations and elevations of the borings. <br />1.6.10 Furnish a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan ("SWPPP") and Best Management <br />Practices Plan for control of erosion during and after construction. <br />1.6.11 Prepare a request for any design exceptions, including all information necessary to <br />support the request, and submit them to the City for review and approval. <br />1.6.12 Identify all temporary and permanent easements and/or ROW that may be required. <br />1.6.13 Identify and notify all affected utilities and coordinate plans for utility relocation. <br />Engineer will maintain a record of all utility contacts and submit them to the City. Engineer will <br />submit one (1) copy of the Intermediate Design Phase plans to each affected utility for review <br />and comment. <br />1.6.14 Furnish City with three (3) paper copies and one (1) Adobe Acrobat PDF Copy of the <br />Intermediate Design plans and supporting documents, including any and all of those mentioned <br />immediately above. Upon review and approval of the plan and supporting documents, the City <br />will furnish to Engineer, in writing, approval of the plan and cost estimate and authority to <br />proceed with the Final Design Task of the Project. <br />1.7 TASK 5 -FINAL DESIGN <br />The Engineer will: <br />1.7.1 Furnish, when necessary, completed applications and data required by the City for the <br />applications or supporting documents for State or Federal Government permits, grants, or <br />planning advances, provided that such data will not extend beyond that actually developed in the <br />performance of other provisions of this Agreement. <br />1.7.2 Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, instructions to bidders, general provisions, <br />proposal and other documents necessary for the City to advertise for bids, all based on guidelines <br />furnished to the Engineer by the City after authorization has been received from the City to <br />proceed with the final plans as follows: <br />a) Include street and drainage cross sections for every 50-foot station (plus any <br />intermediate stations if field conditions so dictate) at a scale of 1" = 40' - 0" <br />horizontally and 1" = 10' - 0" vertically unless otherwise directed by the City. <br />Combine the application of sound engineering principles with a high degree of <br />economy in these designs. Use design standards of other agencies, when <br />approved by the City, as directed by the City. <br />b) Develop detailed specifications and any necessary special specifications with <br />assistance and cooperation from the City. <br /> <br />7 <br />
