20. Public Hearing to consider comments for and against an amendment to the land use map from Low Density Residential (LDR) to Public (P), fora 0.4775 acre, more or less, tract of land located at 108 Eastwood Street; and amending the official zoning map of the city by rezoning said 0.4775 acre tract and a 0.5043 acre tract of land, more or less, located at 117 Meiners, from Single-Family Residential District (SF-6) to Public and Institutional (P); including procedural provisions, and consider adoption of Ordinance 2008-18. Mayor Narvaiz opened the Public Hearing at 9:45 p.m. There were no public comments, and the Public Hearing was closed at 9:45 p.m. MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Jones and a second by Councilmember Guerrero, the City Council voted six (6) for and none (0) opposed, with Councilmember Thomaides absent from the dais, to approve Ordinance 2008-18, as previously captioned. The motion carried unanimously. 21. Public Hearing to receive comments for and against an amendment to the future land use map from Medium Density Residential/commercial (MDR/C) to Commercial (C) for Lot 2 of the Gary Farm Subdivision, an approximately 10.86 acre tract of land, located in the 2400 block of N. IH-35; and amending the official zoning map of the city by rezoning this tract from Single Family Residential District/Future Development (SF-6/FD) to Community Commercial (CC) ; including procedural provisions; and consider adoption of Ordinance 2008-19. Mayor Narvaiz opened the Public Hearing at 9:46 p.m. David Cantalosi, representing Mr. Gary, asked Council to approve this item. There being no further public comments, and the Public Hearing was closed at 9:46 p.m. MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Guerrero and a second by Councilmember Couch, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to approve Ordinance 2008-19, as previously captioned. The motion carried unanimously. 22. Public Hearing to receive comments for and against an amendment to the land use map from Commercial (C) to High Density Residential (HDR), fora 5.073 acre, more or less, tract of land located at the 2100-2200 block of IH- 35 North; and amending the official zoning map of the city by rezoning a 5.309 acre tract of land, more or less, located at the 2100-2200 block of IH- 35 North, from Future Development (FD) to Multi-Family Residential District (MF-18); including procedural provisions; and consider adoption of Ordinance 2008-20.
