<br />2. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />4. <br />5. <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />7. <br />8. <br /> <br />9. <br />10. <br /> <br />II. <br />12. <br /> <br />13. <br /> <br />Goal No.3: <br /> <br />Strategy: <br /> <br />Actions: <br /> <br />I. <br />2. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />consultants, Greater Austin-San Antonio Corridor Council and Texas Department of <br />Economic Development. <br /> <br />Actively involve the City's Mayor and City Council members in marketing efforts <br />and communication with prospects, and inform prospects of the availability of the <br />Mayor and Council Members for meetings and other assistance. <br /> <br />Arrange for and attend marketing trips with the City's Mayor and City Council <br />Members to targeted prospects. <br /> <br />Participate in Texas Economic Development Council meetings. <br />Serve on the Central Texas Foreign Trade Zone Board of Directors. <br /> <br />Attend regular meetings and participate in marketing trips of the Greater Austin-San <br />Antonio Corridor Council's economic development committee. <br /> <br />Annually evaluate targeted industry clusters. <br />Place ads in targeted publications. <br /> <br />Coordinate a direct mail campaign. <br />Update the Community Profile twice annually. <br /> <br />Maintain the Community Fact Book and Web page. <br />Participate in Industry specific trade shows, as needed. <br /> <br />Coordinate a community image campaign including but not limited to the City, <br />COlUlty, Chambers of Commerce, and the Convention and Visitors Bureau. <br /> <br />Facilitate government agency support for primary employers <br /> <br />Coordinate and present an appropriate expectation of the type and value of <br />incentives that are available in San Marcos. <br /> <br />Meet montlùy with the City Development Process team. <br />Update the City Council and County Commissioners monthly on potential new <br /> <br />developments and present a report annually. <br />Work with the State and Federal agencies such as the Texas Workforce Commission, <br /> <br />Texas Department of Economic Development, Economic Development <br />Administration, and Small Business Administration on available programs. <br /> <br />Maintain a relationship with the educational institutions on workforce training <br /> <br />Page 2 <br />
