d. There will be no metal siding or temporary buildings in the project. All the • <br />exterior finish materials are high quality, durable, and compatible with <br />materials used in downtown buildings such as stone, brick, stucco, metal <br />roofing and painted steel. <br />e. The strategic location of this project reinforces a pedestrian link between the <br />Texas State University Campus and the San Marcos Downtown. A central <br />component to the university Master Plan includes a grand pedestrian mall <br />adjacent to this site and extending toward the San Marcos River. Concho <br />Green Pedestrian Mall is scheduled for completion in Fall of 2009. This <br />project will support and enhance the pedestrian mall and will function as a <br />western anchor to the facility. <br />f. The plan for a plaza will provide a place for students to interact with one <br />another. <br />g. Convenience retail will provide students with shopping options within walking <br />distance of dormitories. <br />h.
