1.3.6. Review and/or develop hydraulic design parameters including maximum and minimum
pumping capacity and pressure requirements (i.e. hydraulic controls) for proposed pipeline route.
1.3.7 Prepare findings of existing and proposed pumping, including pump curves for proposed
pumping scenarios.
1.3.8 Determine required pumping and piping improvements, if any.
Geotechnical Investigations
1.3.9 Perform geotechnical investigation services for approximately 5,200 linear feet (Section
1.0.1 sates "l.f.") of 24-inch water line to include:
a) Field Investigation:
1) Provide traffic control where necessary;
2) Drill and sample borings at approximately 500 ft spacing at locations that are
accessible to truck mounted drilling equipment. Borings to be drilled to a depth
of about 12 ft each; and
3) Where area is inaccessible, provide clearing services for rig access.
b) Laboratory Investigation:
1) Moisture Contents;
2) Atterberg Limit Determination;
3) Gradation Analyses;
4) Unconfined Compression Tests; and
5) Corrosion Potential.
c) Engineering Report:
1) Plan of Borings and Logs of Borings; and
2) Results of Laboratory Testing.
d) Geotechnical recommendations and parameters for:
1) Excavation potential;
2) Construction slopes;
3) OSHA soil classification;.
4) Recommendation for utility backfill and bedding in conformance with City
regulations; and
KBR-Comanche Water Transmission Main (24") Agreement
