Survey Services
1.3.10 Perform a topographic survey within the Project limit conceptual alignment provided by
the City of San Marcos, use the City's coordinate system, and tie to City's existing right-of--way
plats and surveys to include:
a) Coordinate with Engineer to identify property owners and request right-of--entry
to affected private properties;
b) Provide benchmarks every 1,000 ft. and sufficient horizontal control points along
project corridor for use as a construction baseline. Horizontal and vertical control
shall be based on on-site primary control provided by the City;
c) Locate by actual on-the-ground survey visible and accessible on-grade and above-
grade features including but not limited to pavement marking, curbs, driveways,
pavement edges, traffic signs, sidewalks, ramps, fences, guardrails, signs, walls,
mailboxes, culverts, storm drain outfalls, inlets, surface utility features and utility
markers;
d) Provide contours at one foot intervals. Elevations will be taken on an
approximate 50' x 50' grid, at abrupt changes in grade and along drainage
courses. Survey point data will be provided on a separate level and will not be
part of the final plotted drawing;
e) Provide spot elevations at top of accessible utility manhole covers. Provide invert
elevation of manhole, elevation of pipes entering and/or exiting manhole of
accessible sanitary sewer and storm drain structures. Provide location and invert
elevation of sanitary cleanouts on main lines and provide top elevation of valve
nut of accessible valves on main lines;
f) Provide traffic control as necessary to perform Item e) above;
g) Provide size, location, subspecies and tree tag for trees 8" in diameter and larger.
Cedar and pine trees will not be included. Trees located outside limits of survey
(overhanging into limits of survey) will be approximately located but not tagged;
h) Locate sufficient boundary/right-of--way monumentation and obtain and review
available tax plats, subdivision plats, property deeds (unplatted tracts) identified
from Hays County Central Appraisal District ("HCAD") records. Obtain and
review available City and/or State right-of--way records, and show approximate
location of right-of--way. Perform calculations/analysis and re-establish boundary
lines affected by proposed easements;
i) Show owner name, book and page information, subdivision name and lot and
block number, HCAD parcel number, easements adjoining survey area as
identified on available subdivision plats, and physical address of each tract along
project corridor;
j) Provide horizontal and vertical data for approximately 11 boreholes along project
corridor; and
KBR-Comanche Water Transmission Main (24") Agreement
6
