<br />5. <br /> <br />Source of Local Match and Relationship Between Other Federal or State Assistance <br /> <br />The City of San Marcos will finance the local 50% share of the Project for this grant with the <br /> <br />$467,000 appraised value of the donated 81.2:1: acres known as Lots 5,6, 7, 8, and 9 and $54,000 by <br /> <br />the City of San Marcos through the sale of anticipated tax revenue bonds or from the general fund as <br /> <br />directed by the City's Financial Director. <br /> <br />There are no Federal grants or Federally funded work planned, anticipated, presently underway, or <br /> <br />previously received for any elements concerning this project. <br /> <br />The City of San Marcos has received previous grants :ITom the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department <br /> <br />for other Park Projects to include the land acquisition of the San Marcos Park and Wildlife Habitat, <br /> <br />Phase I and IT, and the Regional Park Preserve, Phase 1. The City of San Marcos may apply, if <br /> <br />necessary, for another grant to complete the work outlined in the Master Plan <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />Maintenance and Operation Agreement <br /> <br />The City of San Marcos will operate and maintain the proposed facilities with the assistance of <br /> <br />various organized public groups that will be using the facilities to provide recreational opportunities <br /> <br />to their membership (open to all elements of the community without regard to race, color, religion, <br /> <br />sex, national origin and/or handicap requirements. A "Cooperative Agreement" acceptable to the <br /> <br />Texas Parks and Wildlife Department will be prepared which will identify the operation and <br /> <br />maintenance of the facilities relative to the use by the City of San Marcos and the other entities, if <br /> <br />any. All facilities will be operated by the City of San Marcos, with assistance :ITom various public <br /> <br />organized groups and assistance from the various interested groups in exchange for the non- <br /> <br />PROGRAM NARRATIVE - Page 6 of7 <br />
