As you may know, one of our goals is to promote
awareness and understanding of the value of our natural areas in the midst of increasing
development.
Educating younger generations about our local natural areas is essential for fully rounded
education. It strengthens the quality of their lives and the community as a whole. Giving them
the opportunity to enjoy and appreciate these areas is priceless.
Members of the San Marcos Greenbelt Alliance would like to offer our time to lead six hikes
through Prospect Park, Upper Purgatory, Ringtail Ridge, or Spring Lake Preserve. Each hike
would last approximately one and a half hours. We will discuss how each natural area was
acquired, the birds and wildlife that live there, the plants and trees along the paths, and ethical
and safe practices when visiting our natural areas.
We look forward to working with you this year. Not simply because we share a passion for our
living planet but because you are so good at what you do. Your passion is contagious and
inspiring.
Sincerely,
A/?
Maggie Hutchins-Wagner
Vice President
San Marcos Greenbelt Alliance
P.O.
