Hutchison
San Marcos, TX 78666

Dear Ms. Langenkamp:

I am writing to express my support of your efforts to acquire
funding for additional services for adult education in San Marcos
through the Library Services and Construction Act, Title I Grant.

As GED Chief Examiner in the San Marcos area, I am continually
impressed with the growing cry of adults seeking a second chance,
a chance to turn a life filled with many unachieved goals into a
life filled with achieved goals. It is continually fulfilling
to see these adults achieve the goal of GED mastery.

More tutors are needed to help these members of our community
make this effort. Our GED classes meet in the evening and are
not able to meet the needs of adults who are unable to attend
classes at night. Also, many adults seeking GED mastery need
one-on-one tutoring which is not as readily available in a
class of 20-25. Additional tutoring at the library would help.

Best wishes in your efforts.

Sincerely, ~

ar~:#a~ ¿~~I

Ann Jeanette Wright
GED Chief Examiner
San Marcos Area
