<br />SECTION 7. That precincts 10, 15, 21, 23, 24, 25,
<br />26, 27, 28, 29, 31, 35, 37, 40, 41, 42, 43, 47, 48 and 49
<br />shall be polling places for the County of Hays.
<br />
<br />SECTION 8. That said special election shall be
<br />conducted jointly with the Count.y of Hays and City of San
<br />Marcos, Texas pursuant to the terms and conditions of a Joint
<br />Election Agreement to be entered into between said County of
<br />Hays and said City.
<br />
<br />SECTION 9. That Janis K. Womack be, and she is
<br />hereby, appointed clerk for absentee voting for said City,
<br />and that Julie Villanueva, Susan Ripps, Chris Tinnell, Mae
<br />Cephas, and Juliett Torres, be, and they are hereby,
<br />appointed deputy clerks for absent.ee voting, said absentee
<br />voting clerk and deputy clerks to serve without compensation.

<br />SECTION 10. That Joyce Cowan shall be the clerk for
<br />absentee voting for said County of Hays.
<br />
<br />SECTION 11. That the main absentee polling place for
<br />absentee voting for said City election is City Hall, 630 East
<br />Hopkins Street in said City, and the temporary branch
<br />absentee polling place for absentee voting for said City
<br />election is the County Election Administrator's Office, 401-C
<br />Broadway. The main absentee polling place for absentee
<br />voting for said County of Hays election is the County
<br />Election Administrator's Office, 401-C Broadway in said City,
<br />and the temporary branch absentee polling place for said
<br />County of Hays election is City Hall, 630 East Hopkins Street
<br />in said City. Said absentee voting shall be conducted during
<br />normal working days in the City Hall and County Election
<br />Administrator's Office from July 20, 1987, through August 4,
<br />1987, and the hours for absentee vot.ing shall be from 8:00
<br />a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at City Hall and from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00
<br />p.m. at the County Election Administrator's Office. The'
<br />address of 630 E. Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas, 78666, shall be
<br />the absentee clerk I s mailing address to which ballot
<br />applications and ballots voted by mail may be sent for said
<br />City. The address of 40l-C Broadway, San Marcos, Texas,
<br />78666, shall be the absentee clerk's mailing address to which
<br />ballot applications and ballots voted by mail may be sent for
<br />said County of Hays. All absentee votes and other votes to
<br />be processed in accordance with absentee voting procedures
<br />pursuant to Chapter 104, Election Code, V.T.C.A., shall be
<br />delivered to the Absentee Ballot Board at C.M. Allen Homes
<br />Office off River Road in said City in accordance with Title
<br />7, Election Code, V.T.C.A. The Absentee Ballot Board shall
<br />consist of Presiding Judge Margie Villalpando and Alternate
<br />Judge Zoila Polanco. Absentee votes shall be counted at the
<br />central counting station. The Absentee Ballot Board shall
<br />perform in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 87,
<br />Election Code, V.T.C.A.

<br />SECTION 12. That an electronic voting system as the
<br />term is defined in Section 121.003, Election Code, V.T.C.A.,
<br />shall be utilized in connection with said elections. Said
<br />system shall be utilized for all absentee voting as well as
<br />:Eor all precinct voting conducted on election day. Dr.
<br />Wilbon Davis is hereby appointed as programmer, and he shall
<br />prepare a program for the automatic tabulating equipment.
<br />Ample voting equipment shall be provided for absentee voting
<br />and in each of the various precincts on election day. The
<br />central counting st.ation is established as the Conference
<br />Room, San Marcos City Hall, 630 E. Hopkins.

<br />SECTION 13. That the City Council of said City shall,
<br />by resolution duly adopted, appoint a Presiding Judge of the
<br />Central Counting Station, a Tabulation Supervisor of the
<br />Central Counting Station, and a Central Counting Station
<br />Manager, and any and all assistants appointed by the
<br />Tabulation Supervisor shall be subject. to the approval of
<br />said City Council.
