Environmental Engineering <br /> The environmental engineering work for this project will only be completed for Phase 2. For Phase 1, <br /> the County roadway project environmental work will be utilized. The following environmental services <br /> shall be conducted for the Project: <br /> a) Desktop Analysis and Environmental Compliance Memorandum <br /> i) BGE will complete an environmental constraints analysis to identify environmental resources <br /> occurring within eh proposed William Pettus Waterline project area that could warrant <br /> additional consideration during design. <br /> ii) BGE will prepare an Environmental Compliance Memorandum identifying known <br /> environmental resources, applicable regulatory requirements, and a summary of next steps (if <br /> any) associated with the proposed waterline improvements. <br /> iii) Desktop research will include review of applicable and readily available public data, including <br /> but not limited to historical aerial photography; US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFW) National <br /> Wetlands Inventory mapping and critical habitat data; US Geological Survey (USGS) National <br /> Hydrography Dataset and topographic mapping; Texas Commission on Environmental Quality <br /> (TCEQ) hazardous materials databases and Edwards Aquifer Zone mapping; and Texas <br /> Historical Commission (THC)Atlas data, including cemeteries and known archeological sites. <br /> iv) BGE will complete one site visit to document existing conditions, verify the presence of <br /> mapped environmental resources, and identify any additional environmental constraints that <br /> may warrant further consideration. Field observations will be incorporated into the <br /> Environmental Compliance Memorandum. <br /> b) Cultural Resources Desktop Review <br /> i) BGE will complete a Cultural Resources Desktop Review for the tract with a BGE Registered <br /> Professional Archaeologist (RPA) meeting Secretary of the Interior Professional Qualification <br /> Standards for historic preservation, listed in the Code of Federal Regulations, 36 CFR Part 61. <br /> This Principal Investigator would oversee any required fieldwork and reporting. <br /> ii) Although the location of any potentially regulated activities on the Tract has not been <br /> determined, early cultural resources review will allow BGE to determine areas with low and <br /> high potential for intact cultural resources. This scope of work includes coordination with the <br /> THC to concur with the outcome of the review or to provide recommendations on potential next <br /> steps and determine if additional steps will be necessary. <br /> iii) As the project design is advanced, additional steps identified may include acquisition of an <br /> Antiquities Code Permit, cultural resources investigation, an Archeological Survey Report, <br /> and/or artifact curation. These tasks are excluded from this proposed and would be included in <br /> a separate scope of work. <br /> c) Deliverables: <br /> i) Desktop Analysis and Environmental Compliance Memorandum, including a table, map, and <br /> photo sheet of identified environmental features within the project area to be provided within <br /> four(4)weeks of notice to proceed. <br /> ii) Cultural Resources Desktop Review including maps and photo sheet to be provided within four <br /> (4)weeks of notice to proceed. <br /> 6 <br />
