Update sessions will also be <br />held. Responsibility for EEO orientation and training sessions is <br />assigned to the Director of Personnel/Affirmative Action Officer. <br /> <br />All City employees will be given orientation regarding this Affirmative <br />Action Plan and its guidelines with regard to the provisions of equal <br />employment opportunity law generally. Among topics to be included will <br />be special obligations of directors in assuring that the City's <br />Affirmative Action Plan succeeds. Update sessions will be scheduled <br />periodically. <br /> <br />CHAPTER 16 <br /> <br />DISSEMINATION OF PLAN <br /> <br />This Affirmative Action Plan, including its guidelines for <br />implementation and supporting data, will be treated as a public <br />document. A copy will be kept on file at the public library and copies <br />will be made available to any interested person as per the City's <br />guidelines for open records. Further, a copy of the plan and <br />guidelines will be given to all administrative heads. They, in turn, <br />will be requested to acknowledge that they have reviewed the plan and <br />have made its contents known to all employees in the unit or <br />department. The City Manager may direct further distribution of the <br />plan to meet specific needs. <br /> <br />A brief summary of the plan will be prepared by the Affirmative Action <br />Officer and circulated to all present employees and given to all new <br />employees as they are hired. The Affirmative Action Officer will <br />insure that feature articles and follow-up items are periodically <br />included in appropriate newspapers/newsletters.
