<br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br /> <br />RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR ELECTRIC SERVICE <br /> <br />Disputed Bills <br /> <br />When a customer believes that the amount of any bill rendered by <br />the City for service of electricity is in error, the customer <br />should: <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />request an explanation of the bill from the electric <br />utility office of the City and if this does not resolve <br />the matter, <br /> <br />request, in writing, an investigation of the matter, <br />setting forth all information relative to the dispute. <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />The City will investigate the matter promptly and com- <br />municate, in writing, its findings to the customer and <br />refund and amount paid by the customer in accordance <br />with its findings. Any balance still remaining will be <br />due immediately. If the customer is still not satis- <br />fied, a complaint can be filed with the Electric util- <br />lity Board of the city. Should this occur, only the <br />amount described above shall be required during the in- <br />vestigation of the complaint or for 60 days whichever <br />is less. <br /> <br />The ci ty will not discontinue service nor will the <br />customer's credi t be impaired during such investiga- <br />tion. The customer does not waive any rights he may <br />have by following the procedure set out above. <br />
