<br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br /> <br />DISTRIBUTION LINE EXTENSION POLICY <br /> <br />under the appropriate rate schedule for the next month and <br />each month thereafter until service is taken. <br /> <br />X. <br /> <br />LINE RELOCATIONS - At the sole option of the City, lines and <br />other facilities of the City may be relocated at the request <br />of a property owner only if all of the following conditions <br />are met: <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />Service to other customers, both present and prospec- <br />tive, will not be adversely affected. <br /> <br />Easements on the City's standard form covering rights- <br />of-way for the relocated lines or other facilities are <br />granted to the city. <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />c. <br /> <br />Tha party requesting the relocation agrees to pay the <br />City the actual cost of removing the existing lines and <br />facilities and installing lines and facilities in the <br />new location, and advances the City the estimated cost <br />of said removal and installation. <br /> <br />XI. <br /> <br />FLOOD ZONE AREA RESTRICTIONS - In areas where the City pro- <br />videselectric service in the vicinity of lakes and streams <br />the city will not extend overhead service below the maximum <br />pool level of the lakes, or in the flood plain of streams. <br /> <br />XII. UNDERGROUND ELECTRIC SERVICE EXTENSION - Underground elec- <br />tric primary and secondary lines to service premises may be <br />provided subj~ct to the stipulation that the applicant exe- <br />cutes a special underground agreement wi th the City and <br />agrees to bear all the additional expense in excess of the <br />cost of the standard overhead extension normally provided. <br /> <br />Where a Developer requests the city to do so, the city may <br />in accordance with special agreement for such situations and <br />at its option provide for installation of underground elec- <br />tric facilities. (See Appendix G) <br /> <br />XIII.EXTENSION POLICY CHANGES - The foregoing policy is subject <br />to change at any time by action of the Electric System Board <br />of the city without prior notice being given. <br /> <br />XIV. ADMINISTRATION OF POLICY - The foregoing policy shall be <br />administered in a fair, consistent fashion, with due consid- <br />eration of site-specified physical circumstances as well as <br />corresponding polices of nearby utilities, with reasonable <br />and justifiable variances as indicated by common sense, <br />good judgement, and equity. <br />
