<br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br />DISTRIBUTION LINE EXTENSION POLICY <br /> <br />APPENDIX A <br /> <br />RESIDENTIAL SERVICE <br /> <br />The City will construct an overhead primary line extension to <br />provide service to a residential facility requiring full tÌ1ne <br />service at the regular established rates and minimum monthly <br />charges under the following conditions: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />PERMANENT RESIDENCE - A standard overhead line extension <br />(single 'phase) up to 1200 feet will be provided for a resi- <br />dence occupied on a full time basis and which is construc- <br />ted on a permanent foundation. Non-standard facilities and <br />extensions in excess of 1200 feet may require the customer <br />to pay the additional cost. (See Rule 5 below) <br /> <br />MULTIPLE DWELLING - A standard overhead line extension will <br />be extended for service to multiple dwellings on the same <br />basis as for a Permanent Residence, with consideration being <br />given for the number of dwelling units and the expected <br />occupancy ratio. Three phase electric service may also be <br />extended where deemed desirable by the City, with the stipu- <br />lation that a maximum of 400 feet of three phase line shall <br />be the equivalent of 1200 feet of single phase for the pur- <br />poses of determining the length of extension. <br /> <br />MOBILE HOME Electric service will be provided to a <br />customer-owned meter pole from the City's existing primary <br />lines. In situations where the extension of primary facili- <br />ties is required to serve a mobile home, the applicant will <br />be required to pay the estimated cost in advance for con- <br />structing the extension. <br /> <br />MOBILE HOME PARKS AND MOBILE HOME SUBDIVISIONS - Mobile <br />homes to be located inside City-designated Mobile Home Parks <br />and Mobile Home Subdivision will be provided service in <br />accordance with Appendix G. <br /> <br />SEASONAL FACILITIES - A permanent electric service will be <br />provided from the city's existing primary lines. Where ex- <br />tension of primary facilities is required to serve weekend <br />or resort homes, cabins and other domestic facilities which <br />are not utilized on a full time basis, th~ applicant will be <br />required to bear the actual cost for constructing the entire <br />extension. <br />
