<br />existing concrete will be removed at least six inches wider <br /> <br />~tLa~_!:_he cut. <br /> <br />The new pav~~ent shall be five-s~Gk portland <br />- -----,----- .,,---- --,----~-- ---~--- -- -- <br /> <br />~,~f!1el1_~_.~~ete extending two inches below the bottom of <br /> <br />existing concrete pavement or must have a minim~m depth o~ <br /> <br />seven inches, whichever is greater. <br /> <br />The concrete will be <br /> <br />consolidated by vtbratian aod~ood floated smooth at a <br /> <br />level two inches below the fiolshed surf~ce~ <br /> <br />Traffic will <br /> <br />not be permitted on new concrete pavement for seventy-two <br /> <br />(72) hours after placing. <br /> <br />If the cut i~ not to be paved <br /> <br />immediately after the 72-hour curing period is complete, <br /> <br />then it should be temporarily repaired with two inches of <br /> <br />compacted cold mix asphalt by the Utility/Contractor. <br /> <br />The <br /> <br />Utility/Contractor should clean and remove all debris and <br /> <br />barricades from the area. and maintain the cut until <br /> <br />permanently repaired. <br /> <br />If the pavement is to be repaired by <br /> <br />City personnel, the Construction Inspector will notify the <br />Public Works Department when the cut is ready for <br /> <br />permanent asphalt repair. <br /> <br />(See Attachment No.3) <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Concrete Pavement: <br /> <br />Where the existing pavement is of full- <br /> <br />depth concrete construction, the concrete will be saw cut <br /> <br />and removed to a width of at least six inches wider than <br /> <br />the cut. <br /> <br />The new pavement ~hall be five-sack portland <br /> <br />cement concrete extending two inches below the bottom of <br /> <br />the existing pavement or must have a minimum depth of seven <br /> <br />inches, whichever is greater. <br /> <br />The concrete will be <br /> <br />consolidated by vibration, wood floated smooth, and all <br /> <br />edges worksd with an one-quarter inch radius trowel. <br /> <br />The <br /> <br />new concrete surface will be cured by one of the three <br /> <br />approved methods as outlined In the City of San Marcos <br /> <br />7 <br />
