<br />III. CONDITIONS OF WORK AND CONDUCT <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />WORKING CONDITIONS <br /> <br />Management has the responsibility of maintaining <br /> <br />efficiency, determining the methods of operation, <br />scheduling events and employees to accomplish the mission <br /> <br />and objectives of the City. <br /> <br />Whenever possible, each <br /> <br />department and/or division, as appropriate, will review <br />and actively solicit the recommendations of employees <br /> <br />concerning improvement of safety, efficiency and <br /> <br />productivity, according to guidelines provided by the <br /> <br />City Manager. <br /> <br />Employees will be furnished the necessary <br /> <br />vehicles, tools, equipment, facilities, and supplies to <br /> <br />accomplish their assignments. <br /> <br />Certain items of clothing, <br /> <br />items for personal protection, (i.e., gloves, shoes, <br /> <br />glasses, etc.) or tools may be established as a <br /> <br />requirement to be provided by the employee. <br /> <br />Certain jobs <br /> <br />may require the use of personal vehicles for which <br />reimbursement will be made based on the rate schedule in <br /> <br />effect. <br /> <br />Employees are expected to follow policies, <br /> <br />rules, and procedures for the use of any vehicles, <br /> <br />equipment, tools, supplies and facilities. <br /> <br />Employees <br /> <br />should arrange their personal affairs to minimize <br />interference with work performance; including personal <br /> <br />visits by friends and relatives, phone calls, and <br /> <br />-14- <br />
