ATTENDANCE AND LEAVE <br /> <br />HOURS OF WORK <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Definition - A regular full time non-Civil Service <br />employee works forty (40) hours a week or 2,080 hours <br /> <br />per year. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Flex-Time - The scheduling of a work day to <br /> <br />accommodate an employee's needs may be arranged upon <br /> <br />approval of the employee's supervisor. <br /> <br />Flex-time <br /> <br />arrangements for longer than one (1) month must be <br />formalized by memorandum to the Department Director <br /> <br />and the Director of Personnel. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Lunch Periods - City employees are generally allowed <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />one (1) hour per day for lunch. <br />Breaks - City employees are allowed two (2), fifteen <br /> <br />(15) minute rest breaks during the work day, workload <br /> <br />and available personnel permitting. <br /> <br />The time allowed <br /> <br />for rest breaks may not be applied to any other <br /> <br />absence, leave or time off. <br /> <br />ATTENDANCE <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />General Policy - Employees shall be required to be at <br /> <br />their places of work in accordance with these rules <br /> <br />and general departmental regulations. <br /> <br />All <br /> <br />departments shall maintain daily attendance records. <br />The Personnel Department shall maintain a record of <br /> <br />-39- <br />
