<br />2. <br /> <br />Accrual - Part-Time Reqular Employees <br /> <br />Regular part-time employees shall earn vacation leave <br />commensurate with the number of hours they work. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Use of Vacation Leave - Vacation leave usage shall be <br />scheduled with the employee's supervisor as far in <br /> <br />advance as possible. <br /> <br />Use of vacation leave will be <br /> <br />at the convenience of the employee if possible. <br />However, use of vacation leave should not interfere <br /> <br />with the normal functioning of City operations. <br />Vacation leave may be taken in increments of one (1) <br /> <br />hour or more. <br /> <br />Thirty (30) days of vacation leave is <br /> <br />the maxi~um any employee may use per fiscal year. <br />Sickness Durinq Vacation Leave - Employees who become <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />ill during their vacation should notify their <br />supervisor so that the time they are ill may be <br /> <br />counted as sick leave. <br /> <br />At the discretion of the <br /> <br />supervisor, medical proof of illness may be required. <br /> <br />5. Payment Upon Termination - Upon termination, all <br /> regular employees who resign in good standing (see <br /> Section XIV-A RESIGNATION) will be compensated for <br /> <br />unused vacation leave, up to a maximum of thirty (30) <br /> <br />days (240 hours). <br /> <br />Payment will be based on the <br /> <br />employee's salary for the two (2) weeks prior to <br /> <br />termination. <br /> <br />-45- <br />
