<br />authorized pay to the employee shall be <br />discontinued until the employee returns to work. <br /> <br />e. <br /> <br />To receive paid sick leave, an employee must <br />communicate with his/her immediate supervisor or <br /> <br />the supervisor's authorized representative, <br /> <br />before or within one (1) hour of the time set for <br />beginning work unless a justifiable excuse is <br /> <br />f. <br /> <br />presented regarding an emergency situation. <br />Supervisors and Department Directors may require <br /> <br />satisfactory proof of illness according to these <br />policies (for either the employee or the <br /> <br />empl~yee's dependent family member).
