<br />F. <br /> <br />(4) <br /> <br />If the sick leave åccrued prior to December <br /> <br />18, 1984 is used, the dollar figure will be <br />recalculated to reflect the amount due at <br /> <br />termination. <br /> <br />Money will be subtracted at <br /> <br />the old rate (hourly rate paid effective <br /> <br />December 18, 1984). <br /> <br />Old sick leave cannot <br /> <br />be reaccumulated if used. <br /> <br />(5) <br /> <br />Employees hired after September 27, 1980 <br />will not be paid for unused sick leave at <br /> <br />termination. <br /> <br />PARENTAL LEAVE <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Paid Leave-- <br /> <br />Employees shall be entitled to parental <br /> <br />leave at or near the birth of the employee's child up <br />to the total amount of sick leave and vacation leave <br /> <br />accrued by the employee at the time the parental <br />leave is requested. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />UnDaid Leave - Regular employees may be entitled to <br />two (2) months (sixty (60) calendar days) leave of <br /> <br />absence without pay at or near the birth of the <br /> <br />employee's child. <br /> <br />This leave must be scheduled in <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />advance with the Supervisor. <br />Discretional Leave Without Pay - In special <br /> <br />circumstances such as those involving the health of a <br />parent or child, the City Manager may extend the <br /> <br />leave period or grant a part-time return to work.. <br /> <br />-51- <br />
