<br />J. <br /> <br />EDUCATION LEAVE <br /> <br />The City Manager may authorize education leave with pay <br /> <br />for up to three (3) months per year (1 year) for an <br /> <br />employee to attend college, university, business school, <br /> <br />etc. <br /> <br />The purpose of the leave is to provide an <br /> <br />opportunity for training in subjects related to the <br /> <br />employee's work. <br /> <br />To be eligible for education leave, the <br /> <br />training (education) must be of benefit to the city. <br /> <br />K. <br /> <br />MILITARY LEAVE <br /> <br />Military leave may be either military training leave <br />(leave with pay) or military duty leave (leave without <br /> <br />pay). <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Military Training Leave - Any regular employee who <br />presents official orders to attend training or <br /> <br />perform other duties in the united states Armed <br /> <br />Forces, the Texas state Reserve Corps, or the Texas <br /> <br />state Guard will be granted military training leave <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />with pay for up to fifteen (15) days per year. <br />Military Duty Leave - Any regular employee who <br /> <br />presents official induction orders to enter the <br />United states Armed Forces, the Texas National Guard <br /> <br />-55- <br />
