<br />4. <br /> <br />All medical records of employees are confidential, <br /> <br />however, if the employee so desires and with his/her <br />written permission, pertinent medical information may <br /> <br />be shared with the employee's supervisor and/or <br /> <br />co-workers. <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />The City of San Marcos reserves the right to require <br />an employee to undergo a medical examination by a <br /> <br />doctor chosen by the City whenever there is a <br />question of an employee's fitness to work or where <br /> <br />there is reason to fear that a worker's condition <br /> <br />might pose safety or health hazards for other <br />employees or the public. <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />The City of San Marcos will make reasonable job <br /> <br />accommodations where necessary to assist an employee <br /> <br />7. <br /> <br />with a life threatening illness. <br />Refusal to work with an employee or to provide <br /> <br />services to anyone who has been diagnosed as having a <br /> <br />life threatening illness shall be cause for <br />disciplinary action. <br /> <br />-60- <br />
