<br />4. <br /> <br />Departmental Interview - The Departmental Supervisor <br /> <br />will interview at least the top three candidates for <br />any position and will recommend an applicant to fill <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />the vacancy. <br />Immiqration Reform Act of 1986 Compliance - All <br /> <br />applicants will be required to provide proof of their <br />employment eligibility in accordance with U.s. <br /> <br />Immigration requirements. <br /> <br />Applicants will be <br /> <br />required to sign a form verifying that they are <br />either U.s. Citizens or authorized to work in the <br /> <br />United states. <br /> <br />(The City must examine employment <br /> <br />eligibility documents and complete INS's I-9 form <br />within three (3) business days). <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />Reference Check - The Personnel Department will <br />obtain a minimum of three (3) documented reference <br /> <br />checks on an applicant before a position will be <br /> <br />offered. <br /> <br />7. <br /> <br />Drivinq Record Check - A driving record check will be <br />performed on all prospective City employees who will <br /> <br />be driving City vehicles in the performance of their <br /> <br />employment duties. <br /> <br />An applicant may be disqualified <br /> <br />due to an unsatisfactory driving record. <br /> <br />8. <br /> <br />Physical Examination - A prospective employee may be <br />requested to undergo a physical examination to <br /> <br />determine ability to perform the duties of the job. <br /> <br />-6- <br />
