A. Update on the Census Complete Count Committee outreach activities by Committee • <br />Chair Daniel Guerrero and member Arthur Taylor. <br />Daniel Guerrero, Chair of the Census Complete County Committee, reported on the outreach <br />activities to promote the census in hard-to-reach communities, such as the elderly, minorities and <br />special needs. The survey will be coming to mailboxes in mid-March. Their goal is 80% <br />participation. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />10. Consider approval of minutes. <br />A. February 2, 2010 Regular Meeting <br />11. Consider adoption of Resolution 2010-24R, adopting a revised policy for the <br />reimbursement of council member expenses; and declaring an effective date. <br />12. Consider adoption of Resolution 2010-25R, approving lists of qualified architects and <br />engineers for the provision of professional on-call engineering and architectural services as <br />necessary in connection with various city construction projects and declaring an effective <br />date. <br />13. Consider adoption of Resolution 2010-26R, approving an agreement between the City <br />and CH2M Hill, Inc. in a fixed fee amount of $149,700.00 for the provision of professional <br /> <br />engineering services in connection with the Wastewater Treatment Plant Site Location • <br />Assessment Project; authorizing the City Manager to execute this agreement on behalf of <br />the City and declaring an effective date. <br />14. Consider adoption of Resolution 2010-27R, approving a Chapter 380 Economic <br />Development Agreement between the City of San Marcos, Texas and 401 North <br />Fredericksburg Acquisition, L.L.C., providing for incentives in the form of refunds of a <br />portion of increased real property taxes collected over five years in an amount not to <br />exceed $610,000.00; authorizing the City Manager to execute said agreement; and <br />declaring an effective date. <br />15. Consider adoption of Resolution 2010-28R, approving and adopting the Comprehensive <br />Economic Development Strategy and Implementation Plan prepared by Market Street <br />Services, Inc., and authorizing the City to implement all or any part of the strategic plan as <br />it deems appropriate; and declaring an effective date. <br />16. Consider adoption of Resolution 2010-29R, approving the extension of an annual <br />contract with McCoy Tree Surgery for the provision of citywide tree trimming services; <br />authorizing the City Manager to execute the appropriate documents related to this contract <br />extension on behalf of the City and declaring an effective date. <br /> • <br />RM021610 Minutes Page 4
