Mayor Habingreither introduced for consideration approval of five appointments to the Airport Commission. Mr. Thomaides moved to reappoint Michael Davis, Mr. Mihalkanin moved to appoint Ken Moss and Mayor Habingreither moved to reappoint Fraye Stokes, which passed unanimously. The remaining appointments will be rescheduled. Mayor Habingreither introduced for consideration approval of two appointments to the Historic Preservation Commission. Mayor Habingreither moved to reappoint Elliott Bazan and Mr. Taylor moved to appoint Lila Knight as the Dunbar District representative, which passed unanimously. Mayor Habingreither introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING A 0.0899 ACRE, MORE OR LESS, TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 310 MARY STREET, FROM ~P" PUBLIC AND INSTITUTIONAL DISTRICT TO ~LB" LIMITED BUSINESS DISTRICT; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. Mayor Habingreither opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. No one did, so Mayor Habingreither closed the public hearing. Ms. Narvaiz moved for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Taylor seconded the motion. Carroll Barrett, Director of Planning and Development, stated this property is currently zoned Public and the owner is requesting this property be rezoned to Limited Business. She also stated this property is currently being renovated to become a bakery/coffee shop. The Council then voted unanimously for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance. Mayor Habingreither introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING A 21.374 ACRE, MORE OR LESS, TRACT OF LAND, LOCATED IN THE 3000 BLOCK OF IH-35 NORTH AS ~CH COMMERCIAL DISTRICT AND ZONING A 6.109 ACRE, MORE OR LESS, TRACT OF LAND LOCATED OFF OF THE 3000 BLOCK OF IH-35 NORTH AS ~LI~ LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. Mayor Habingreither opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. 1) Steve Ramsey stated he represents Chuck Nash and is present to answer any questions. Mayor Habingreither asked if anyone else wished to speak. No one did, so Mayor Habingreither closed the public hearing. Ms. Narvaiz moved for the adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Diaz seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
