Mr. Thomaides moved to reappoint <br />Michael Davis, Mr. Mihalkanin moved to appoint Ken Moss and Mayor <br />Habingreither moved to reappoint Fraye Stokes, which passed unanimously. <br />The remaining appointments will be rescheduled. <br /> <br />Mayor Habingreither introduced for consideration approval of two <br />appointments to the Historic Preservation Commission. Mayor Habingreither <br />moved to reappoint Elliott Bazan and Mr. Taylor moved to appoint Lila <br />Knight as the Dunbar District representative, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Habingreither introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING A 0.0899 <br />ACRE, MORE OR LESS, TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 310 MARY STREET, FROM <br />~P" PUBLIC AND INSTITUTIONAL DISTRICT TO ~LB" LIMITED BUSINESS <br />DISTRICT; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR <br />PENALTIES. <br /> <br />Mayor Habingreither opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished <br />to speak. No one did, so Mayor Habingreither closed the public hearing. <br />Ms. Narvaiz moved for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Taylor <br />seconded the motion. Carroll Barrett, Director of Planning and <br />Development, stated this property is currently zoned Public and the owner <br />is requesting this property be rezoned to Limited Business. She also <br />stated this property is currently being renovated to become a <br />bakery/coffee shop.
