130. <br />Regular Meeting January 12, 2004 Page 4 <br />Mayor Habingreither introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING A 4.485 ACRE, <br />MORE OR LESS, TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2260 IH-35 SOUTH FROM "I~ <br />INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT TO ~C-2" HEAVY COMMERCIAL DISTRICT; INCLUDING <br />PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br /> <br />Mayor Habingreither opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished <br />to speak. 1) Steve Holland stated he is representing the applicant and is <br />present to answer any questions. Mayor Habingreither asked if anyone <br />wished to speak. No one did, so Mayor Habingreither closed the public <br />hearing. Ms. Narvaiz moved for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and Mr. <br />Taylor seconded the motion. Carroll Barrett, Director of Planning and <br />Development, stated this property is currently zoned Industrial. She <br />stated the property owner is requesting this property be rezoned to Heavy <br />Commercial. She also stated allows the development of a mini-storage <br />facility and warehouses.
