RMA <br />ESEARCH AND ARKETING SSOCIATE <br />The Research and Marketing Associate will report to the Director of Greater San <br />Marcos Economic Development. Theideal candidate will posses initiative, basic <br />project management skills, an above average degree of professionalism and <br />communication skills, solid Excel and data skills, and sound internet and web <br />research skills. <br />Responsibilities <br />Keep Greater San Marcos Economic Developments website current. <br />Conduct both quantitative and qualitative analysis extensively, using Excel <br />and Word. <br />Conduct in-depth, comprehensive research within designated timeframe, <br />with intermediate assessment and analysis necessary to deliver s <br />concise, key points to internal staff. <br />Create scope for GSMEDs research systems and methodologies. <br />Write proposals for new projects or grants. <br />Prepare special presentations and research for the Director and staff, as <br />directed. <br />Research and catalog location advantages for use in marketing Greater San <br />Marcos to firms considering a new location. <br />Directly responsible for database management and website content. <br />Actively participate in assigned team to support professional office staff with <br />efficient and effective support deliverables. <br />Participate as needed with other areas within research (primary research, <br />strategic services). <br />Create maps and support professional staff with geographic data (maps and <br />reports). <br />Qualifications <br />Three to five years experience in community development, economi <br />development, planning, or other related field. <br />Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. <br />Strong analytical and communications capabilities. <br />Excellent strategic planning and project management skills. <br />Able to work in a fast paced, team-oriented, and competitive environment. <br />Education <br />Minimum Bachelors degree. <br />Masters preferred, from an accredited college or university. <br />Implementation Plan 48 <br />September 2009 <br /> <br />
