Recommended Volunteer Structure <br /> <br />Greater San Marcos Economic Development will operate as a 501(c)3) organization <br />under the umbrella of the San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce. <br />recommended that Partners for Progress transform into the Board <br />the new EDO. This will help to eliminate the multiple reporting <br />hamper efficiency. <br />SN <br />TAFFING EEDS <br />Implementation of the comprehensive Strategy will require Greater San Marcos <br />Economic Development to increase staffing from two full-time employees to six. The <br />recommended structure is based on best practices seen in other successful <br />communities. <br /> <br />The following chart illustrates how revamped organization should <br />Executive Director will oversee all five staff. One manager will be assignthree <br />major economic development topics: Workforce Development, New Business <br />Development, and Business Retention and Expansion.
