,e DFS telemetry-(pump) control unit (TCU) is a microprocessor-based multi-pump
ntroller module designed for use with the telemetry systems. We propose the TCU
for all constant speed pump, lift station installations. The TCU offers the following
features:

1. Local automatic control from float, bubbler, transducer; or ultrasonic inputs.
All the electronics for each type of input are included in the TCU.
2. Local manual control provided by HOA switches. The HOA switches are fail
safe and operate in the OFF and HAND position Without power. HOA Switch
Alarms will be reported back to central site computer. Alarms will indicate
that an HOA switch has been left in the HAND or OFF position.
3. Remote control from the HMI will provide individual pump overrides and
disables, station and alarm disables.
4. Triplex/Duplex/Simplex configurable. The module has the capability of being
configured for one, two or three pumps.
5. Pump alternation functions are provided. Alternation around non-operational
pumps are included.
6. An on-board 480 VAC three-phase monitor is provided. The phase monitor
shall be transformer-isolated and detect loss of phase, phase reversal, Iow
phase and high phase faults. All phase monitor adjustments shall be
adjustable from the keyboard. Phase voltages from phase A to B and from
phase A to C shall be transmitted to the central site computer.
7. The PCU is easily replaced by removing two industry standard terminal
connectors.

8. Alarm light and bell outputs capable of driving 120 VAC loads to I amp,
9. Local input for alarm silence switch,

10. Remote alarm bell and light disable from central site computer.

11. Float alarm reporting back to central site computer when floats are operating
out of sequence. In the float mode each float position shall be transmitted to
the central computer.
12. The PCU shall utilize a/16-character display to provide the operators with the
elapsed runtime of each pump, the average runtime of each pump, the flow
of each pump, the flow of the station and the time of day.
13, Pumps/Starlet/Breaker Fault alarms will .be reported back to central site
computer. The alarms will be activated'when a pump is called to run, but
fails to run, or if the pump is turned off by the TCU, but-continues to run,
14. Pump run status will be reported back to central site computer. Pump run
times are recorded with 2-second accuracy.
15. Configuration parameters will be adjustable through the front mounted
keypad, across the radio link, or an RS-232 service port.
16. Redundancy of level sensing devices is supported.

All inputs and outputs will be optically or magnetically isolated and surge suppressed.
