As directed by Ordinance # 1978-5 approved by San Marcos City Colillcil <br />on January 23, 1978, members of the Airport Corrmission conducted an <br />"appraisal" of the Chandelle I s FBO lease dated December 22, 1975. <br />The appraisal was conducted by Jack Stovall, Dnmett McCoy, and ALlyn <br />Gill in company with .Rusty' Lummus (City of San Marcos Staff Coordinator) I <br /> <br />2. MAJOR DEFICIENCIES: <br /> <br />A. Rental fee of $800.00 due January 1, 1978 has not been received. <br /> <br />B. Gasoline gallonage fee due February 1, 1978 has not been received. <br /> <br />C. No evidence of insurance protection has been furnished by the lessee. <br /> <br />3. MINOR DEFICIENCIES: <br /> <br />A. 1m extremely small percentage of the utilization of the leased <br />hangar is for the public use. Virtually all utilization has been <br />for the repair and maintenance of the lessee I s ai=raft. <br /> <br />B. Ramp operation and parking do not appear to encourage utilization <br />of the facility by the public. <br /> <br />C. There was considerable "junk" material in vicinity of the lccr'ge <br />maintenance hangar (Bldg. #5-357). <br /> <br />D. Considerably more rartq:l space is being occupied by lessee's ai=raft <br />than is covered by lease. <br /> <br />4. COMMENTS : <br /> <br />A. Mr. John Stokes stated in reference to Item 3A that he has qualified <br />mechanics available to service airplanes for the public in the large <br />hangar but has had practically no public customers for maintenance <br />service. Mr. Stokes stated that changes for work in his shop <br />would likely be considerably higher than other local mechanics. <br />
